Kayaking Klub

The Lavender Womyn Kayaking Klub is a statewide social/activity network of women who kayak whitewater, flat water, touring.  The Klub gives you an opportunity to find other women to kayak with, make new friends, get announcements, send announcements or messages, share gas, learn about new kayaking areas, learn from each other, and above all, do what we love to do:  KAYAK!

We are a diverse group of women with different skill levels from the beginner to the advanced paddler.  This group is primarily for lesbians (but no one is excluded) who are interested in kayaking.  It is up to you to make this group what you want it to be.  You can organize a 4-hour float trip to a multi-day excursion; add bird watching to the trip, or some whitewater, but whatever you do, just add water!  We welcome all ideas, input, feedback, photos, information, interesting web sites, discussions, etc., anything that will make our group and the community flourish.  Again, just add water and watch it grow! 

We have  the Yahoo group email list, which is a way for you to communicate, share photos, kayaking information, etc. with other women who are interested in kayaking.  Some useful or interesting areas you will find on this Yahoo Group are:    Messages - all member have the ability to receive and send emails    Files - interesting articles, videos, etc.    Photos - member shared    Links - other web sites that are interesting and useful for kayaking    Database - members information and profiles    Calendar - upcoming kayaking events both Lavender Womyn &  public    Applications - kayaks & equipment for sale or exchange, & kayaking places (Yahoo Maps) If you are interested in joining, you will need a Yahoo! email address, but after you set one up, you can have everything forwarded to your email address of choice.  Once you have your Yahoo! email (or if you already have one), go to:  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lwkayakingklub and follow the prompts.  Or, you can put your email address in the Yahoo! box below.
